Carpenters of York, the wooden floor company, expands despite the recession (Carpenters of York)
Carpenters of York says it continues to expand, despite the recession, and has moved into larger factory space to grow their "oak staining" division.
Due to increased demand for their hand finished oak boards ,the company is taking on more staff.
Carpenters of York says it it now the largest company hand finishing oak boards (and accessories) to client specifications, and is looking for trade enquiries from the whole of the UK.
The oak used for the finishing is European oak from sustainable forestation, managed by responsible, registered timber mills. The machining is very accurate, making life easier for fitters laying the Carpenters of York range of products.
The company has been able to fix prices on a series of oak products, imported from timber mills in Europe, with the resulting products under £20 per square metre, whilst not compromising on quality. They are also running a "we pay the VAT" promotion.
